TELME ONLINE INTRODUCES PREMIUM ENCONOMY SEARCH FOR AGENTS
23rd October 2003: TelMe Online Limited has expanded its range of e-commerce productivity tools for travel agents by introducing the ability for them to search for fares using a premium economy criteria. The new system allows travel agents to search for fares by the ‘mid cabin’ criteria for all airlines, regardless of the specific airline premium economy brand name allocated by the individual airlines. It will allow agents, or their corporate clients, to quickly and easily take full advantage of this increasing sector of the airline ticket business. Kerry Hicks, Corporate Business Development Manager at Eton Travel commented, ‘This is a fantastic product for us. There is a real demand for premium economy from our clients, particularly from business travellers who are now often maximising their corporate travel spend by choosing to fly premium economy rather than business class. We have been waiting for this and it is good that we have been able to quickly offer this additional service to our corporate clients to meet their changing demands”. TelMe Online’s Managing Director, Peter Muller, concluded, “Premium Economy is being chosen as the new business class for many travellers. With airlines such as BA and Virgin quoting year on year growth of anything from 65% to 125%, especially over the Atlantic route, it was important that we quickly recognised this change in the marketplace and provided agents with a fast, reliable search ability”. Premium Economy search is one of the modules available from the e-commerce suite of productivity tools from TelMe Online.
