Terror suspects arrested in Belgium
Two men have been arrested in connection with terror attacks in Belgium.
Authorities said they had uncovered the threat of serious attacks in ‘several emblematic places in Brussels’ during the end-of-year holidays.
The suspects, who were arrested in Brussels, have not been named. Prosecutors said the investigation was not connected to the November 13 attacks in Paris, in which several terrorists had links to Belgium.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office issued a statement reminding visitors to Belgium to ‘remain alert and vigilant’.
Meanwhile, a husband and wife have been found guilty of stockpiling explosives and planning a major terror attack in London.
Mohammed Rehman and Sana Khan planned the attack on the 10th anniversary of the 2005 7/7 bombings.
