Thai airlines propose fuel surcharges on domestic flights
With fuel prices surging, Thai airlines want to resume charging fuel surcharges again. The Thai Airlines Association wrote to the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand seeking permission to impose fuel surcharges for domestic flights.
Association president Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth said it would help lessen the risk airlines are facing over sharp price fluctuations.
Currently fuel surcharges are applicable only on international flights.
