Thai Airways launches new Istanbul flights
Flag carrier Thai Airways has begun flights to Istanbul’s iGA Istanbul Airport.
Thai is the 99th airline to serve iGA Istanbul Airport.
The airport is one step closer to the milestone of 100 airlines to mark the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, Selahattin Bilgen, CEO of iGA Istanbul Airport said.,
Thai is operating daily Istanbul flights from Bangkok on two-class A350-900 jets with 321 seats.
The Thai flag carrier is one of the founding members of Star Alliance.
“With Thai Airways joining us, we expect our global transfer hub to receive more passengers from Thailand, South Asia, and Australia, boosting tourism in Türkiye,” Bilgen said.
Global airlines offer Istanbul flights to 315 destinations across five continents from iGA.
