Thai Airways launching flights to Sendai, Japan

Thai Airways plans to start scheduled flights to Sendai, Japan later this year.

The flag carrier will launch three times per week service commencing on October 29, 2019.

It will fly from Bangkok using Boeing 777-200 aircraft with 279 seats in Economy Class and 30 in Royal Silk Class.

The airline has been serving Sendai with charter services and it becomes its sixth destination in Japan after Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sapporo.

Sendai is located in the Tohoku region about 300 kilometres northeast of Tokyo, attracting around 3.5 million visitors a year.
