Thai Smile joins Star Alliance as connecting partner
Thai Smile has officially joined Star Alliance as a connecting partner.
The airline is the second connecting partner and first in Thailand.
Shanghai-based Juneyao Airlines was the first connecting member airline to join the alliance in 2017.
As a ‘lite’ member, Thai Smile can connect its services to the main Star Alliance network allowing customers of full members airlines to book through tickets on Thai Smile’s services.
The partnership extends the Star Alliance network by ten new destinations.
"We are delighted to become a connecting partner. It brings tremendous value to our customers and the region we serve and is a strategic step that positions Thai Smile Airways as an important regional player," said Charita Leelayudth, CEO of Thai Smile Airways.
Thai Smile operates nearly 400 flights a week to 32 destinations.
The carrier is a subsidiary of full Star Alliance member Thai Airways International.
