Thailand to target stopover visitors
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will launch an “Amazing Thailand Stopover†campaign during ITB Berlin next month.
The campaign will position Bangkok as a stopover destination for travellers who use the city’s airport as a transit point or gateway to other destinations in Asia.
The campaign is being backed by, amongst others, Thai Airways International and the Thai Hotels Association.
The promotion will highlight the convenience of a stopover in Bangkok with special offers and incentives.
Currently, Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport services 1.53 million transit passengers a year
