Thailand has enjoyed a banner year, surpassing its target of 35 million tourist arrivals.

It generated over THB1.8 trillion (US$52.81 billion) in tourism related revenue.

For 2025, which is designated the ‘Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year,’ the Tourism Authority of Thailand is aiming for 36-39 million international visitors.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool cites the tourism friendly government policy and a number of big ticket events and festivals throughout the year.

There has also been a big boost in air connectivity with increased flights from Northeast Asia, most ASEAN countries, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
