Thailand tourism ministry waives fee for Mekong Tourism Forum
The upcoming 2018 Mekong Tourism Forum, hosted in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand, is now a free event.
MTF 2018 announced that the Thailand Ministry of Tourism and Sports has waived the initial THB 1,200 fee.
The event is hosted by the tourism ministry from June 26-29 with the theme ‘Transforming Travel – Transforming Lives.’
Attendees may register online at MekongTourismForum.org.
For the first time ever, MTF will be hosting eight thematic strategy workshops taking place in eight community villages around Nakhon Phanom.
Places are limited to 40 persons for each session.
The final day will feature ‘Transforming Travel’ keynotes from executives at AirBnB, Ctrip.com, AirAsia, and Inle Heritage Myanmar, along with a discussion on the reduction of single-use plastic.
Each delegate at MTF 2018 is encouraged to commit to GMS Plastic Free Action Plan and will receive a MTF 2018 Plastic-free Kit, which includes a free refillable water bottle provided by Refill Asia, a free reusable straw from Bamboo Lao, and a free delegate bag made in the villages.
