Thailand tourism targets six million Europeans
Thailand tourism officials expects over six million travelers from Europe this year.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Governor Yuthasak Supasorn updated delegates at ITB Berlin.
It accounts for around 80% of pre-pandemic levels.
Yuthasak admits there are still obstacles to reaching a full recovery.
These include the Ukraine conflict, the cost of living crisis and a shortage of workers across Thailand.
There is also currently a shortage of flight capacity to boost tourist numbers further.
Thailand also plans to increase the length of stay for tourist visas from 30 to 45 days.
