Speaking last week at the 2008 Destination Britain conference at the Sheraton Mirage in Port Douglas, Visit Britain CEO Tom Wright announced that India will host Destination Britain 2009

Making the announcement at Destination Britain 2008 closing ceremony in Port Douglas, the 2009 event will mark the show’s sixth year

Referring to DB 2008, VisitBritain Chief Executive, Tom Wright said, “we are delighted with how it has gone, and we are committed to its future”.

He added , “With Destination Britain 2008 celebrating the anniversary of VisitBritain’s operations in Australia this year, the decision to hold Destination Britain in India in 2009, reflects the growing importance of India as a global tourism market.”
