The Mole talks to the international buyers at Dreamtime – their view of Australia
Royal China Express operates both inbound and outbound incentive programmes and we also happen to be the GSA for Thai, Royal Orchid Holidays, Passport for Monte Carlo, SBM Hotels in Monaco, Silversea, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and THE WORLD of Residensea.
The majority of the work we do is incentive though and we have dealt with some very prestigious and large groups including Sing Real Estate, which is the biggest in Taiwan and we organised a Sydney incentive for them recently with 750 guests in the Westin and the Four Seasons. We have also organised a group of 250 for HSBC, 200 for MJ Insurance, 300 for Hong Tai Insurance and 250 for New York Life.
In terms of Australia we have sent 2 groups to Sydney and the Gold Coast and the incentives we organise are normally sales target related, generally annual and include partners.
The favourite incentive out of Taiwan is normally 5 days and that is also very often a company policy so that the employees are not out of the office too long, but what is particularly appealing about Australia is that when the weather is cold in Taiwan it is hot in Australia and that makes it very attractive indeed.
In general though Taiwanese incentives feature a range of the seven cities and they are not too interested in being too adventurous!
