The soft life at Sofitel

Sunday, 30 Nov, 2006 0

In a program mainly aimed at busy executives on the go, Sofitel’s 11 North American hotels are now offering gourmet food  —  served fast-food style.

Within 10 to 15 minutes of ordering in the hotel’s restaurant, a unique four-course meal is served, with each course on a separate quadrant of specially designed plates.

The service is available seven days a week for $18-$28 per person.

“The new ‘30-Minute Lunch’ program ensures that the business traveler doesn’t have to sacrifice taste for time,” says Sofitel.

The chain also started offering the “World Flights” wine program.

In conjunction with Women & Wine, Sofitel Hotels across North America is encouraging wine appreciation with a menu of nearly 30 “reasonably priced” wines by the glass. For as little as $11, each offering includes three 2 oz. glasses; guests may also purchase a plate of cheeses to complement the wines.

Women & Wine has put together an easy-to-follow wine guide for the program (which also, incidentally, invites men).
