The three Queens sail into Liverpool
Cunard’s three Queens sailed in to Liverpool yesterday to mark the 175th anniversary of the cruise line.
The Queen Mary 2, the Queen Victoria and the Queen Elizabeth saluted the city where Samuel Cunard began his transatlantic line in 1840.
Thousands of people lined the River Mersey to watch the ships perform a synchronised sailing display which culminated in a fly-past by the Red Arrows.
It was part of a three-day celebration which ends today.
