The top down on the sports car, the wind in you hair………..well what’s left of it….

Yesss!!!…………Winter has at last waned away, the mercury is rising, the days are getting longer, that big yellow ball in the sky is churning some heat out at last………..the prefect time for that first break of the year and where best than, if you live in Sydney or are visiting want to travel to Sydney, than a weekend of indulgence in one of the plethora of great locations just short drive away.

So, where to go?

There can be no better way to revive the soul and blow out those winter cobwebs than jumping in the car for that brief two hour drive from Sydney to probably one of the world’s best know wine production areas, the Hunter Valley.

But, hang on in there, there is now an even better way of celebrating the coming of summer or any time of year, by leaving your car at home and really spoiling yourself with your pick of the luxury sports cars [pictured above] at www.luxurycarhire.com.au, a Sydney based company that offers a really great fleet of all those indulgent cars you look at in envy and think, “I would love to try one of those”.

Well, now you can and over the next week or so, The Mole will be reporting on a fantastic weekend trip to the Hunter Valley in a Mercedes 320CLK soft top [Pictured left] from www.luxurycarhire.com.au and not only that, The Mole will be revealing some of the hidden corners and secrets of the Hunter, including those wineries the hoards of tourists never discover, where the large groups don’t go and where you will discover some of the best wines in the world, including for example, the amazing Maquariedale Wines, where they not only produce organic wines, but produce the estate grapes using the biodynamic principles espoused by Rudolph Steiner……now doesn’t that sound cool!

Enough of that for now………..watch this space through this week.

Now back to the Merc!

www.luxurycarhire.com.au say that there is nothing more exhilarating than driving a sports car with the top down, with the wind blowing through your hair [difficult if in my case you don’t have much left, but what the heck!] and you don’t have a care in the world and without doubt that is how belting along the byways of the Hunter in the Merc made you feel.

www.luxurycarhire.com.au has a very smart variety of quality, sporty and classic cars for hire and with over 60 cars in their fleet, offering the broadest range of luxury cars for rental in Sydney.

Not only that , they also offer a heap of indulgent weekend breaks in a range of great acommodation and of course, there are the sports cars to choose from!

We chose the Merc because it had a tad more room offering four seats compared to the two seater sports cars they offer, including a BMWZ4, but the one that really appealed was the Porsche Boxster [pictured left].……next time………..please darling!!

More about that this week in TravelMole, but the other elements that make up a great weekend break include of course where you stay, with The Mole staying at the fantastic Tuscany Wine Estate………..I really felt I was in Tuscany……….it was amazing………more about  that this week too!

So, make sure you read about The Mole digging around in The Hunter brought to you every day this week in TravelMole.

The Mole was a guest of www.luxurycarhire.com.au and The Tuscany Wine Estate but readers should be aware that TravelMole values and protects editorial integrity and all times and will always tell it the way it was.

A special TravelMole on location report.
