Theme cruise pioneer wins accolades
The specialty cruise company Sixthman was selected for Inc. Magazine’s 500 fastest growing companies.
Sixthman, an Atlanta-based company that creates theme cruises with an emphasis on music and fan communities, was ranked at No. 87 and was named an “industry leader” in the travel category.
“Their one-of-a-kind vacation experiences bring like-minded people together in exclusive, interactive, and intimate environments,” says a spokesman for Sixthman. ”The company's mission is to break down the walls between artists, heroes, partners, and their passionate fan bases.”
Based in Atlanta, Sixthman has partnered with entertainers such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, John Mayer, Kid Rock, Jillian Michaels, Barenaked Ladies, Sister Hazel, Lyle Lovett, Sarah McLachlan, Patty Griffin, Zac Brown Band, 311, KISS and Weezer and brands such as VH1, Graceland and TCM.
Sixthman pioneered the music theme cruise movement, according to company officials.
It has hosted more than 35 full-ship charters since 2001; the company maintains a more than sixty percent return rate for guests.
