Themed hotel outdoes Disney

Here’s a hotel with 118 different themed rooms: Fantasyland in Edmonton, Canada has drawn 3.5 million visitors since it opened more than 20 years ago who have lots of reasons to stay there.

They include the rooms, a mall, an amusement and water park, miniature golf, marine caverns, a skating ring and even a business center.

The hotel’s mall alone is an attraction with 800 stores and restaurants, as well as an amusement park.

Themed rooms come in various styles: Hollywood, Roman, African, Igloo, among others.

For business people, there’s 25,000 square feet of meeting space.

Other distinctive features that seem to please all ages:

—Sony play stations in every room.

—Twenty-four hour room service.

—Three full-service restaurants named The Cafe Europa, Fantasy Lounge and the

—Fantasy Grill Dining Room. There are also 110 other restaurants at the hotel’s mall.

—Babysitting services.

—Web TV and movies.

—Kids-safe bunk beds in some rooms.

The hotel room rates range between US$150 and US$250.
