Thieves raid off-airport car park
Keys to more than 130 cars have been stolen from a valet parking firm used by passengers flying from Manchester airport.
Four vehicles were taken following the key theft from Car Park Manchester’s Trafford depot.
The company, which offers a meet-and-greet service for passengers at Manchester airport, said it was only telling customers of the theft of their keys or their cars when they landed back in the UK. As a result, up to 50 families have been kept in the dark.
Manager Sultan Khan told the Manchester Evening News that he believed the keys were stolen by a criminal gang, who returned to snatch the cars.
The car park, which has no affiliation with Manchester Airport, said it had stepped up security at its site to prevent further thefts.
