After successfully relaunching as an online holiday company in the UK in September 2020, Thomas Cook has expanded into Europe with a Netherlands based business.

The new Dutch business will operate on the same digital platform as the UK and will work with new and existing partners to offer consumers in the Netherlands holiday packages to a wide range of destinations.

Customers will be able to fly from all major airports on airlines including Transavia, Corendon and easyJet.

Destinations on offer include Mediterranean holiday hotspots in Spain, Turkey and Greece as well as city breaks in London, Paris, Rome and Barcelona.

Thomas Cook’s new Dutch company is a member of ANVR, the Dutch travel association, as well as SGR and Calamiteitenfonds, which provide full consumer protection.

Alessandro Dassi, CEO of Thomas Cook Europe and Vice President of the Fosun Tourism Group, said: “The success of our China and UK business, despite all of the challenges of the past two years, has given us confidence that now is the time to take our first step into Europe..”

Thomas Cook Netherlands will initially have a small local team with oversight and support from the current UK team.

As the business develops, it will add more team members.
