Thomas Cook marketing chief joins ABTA Board
Thomas Cook’s marketing, sales and e-commerce director Mike Hoban has been appointed to the ABTA Board.
He replaces Andy Cooper, Thomas Cook Group’s government and external affairs director, who has stepped down from the ABTA Board after serving two terms of two years.
Commenting on the appointment, ABTA chief executive, Mark Tanzer said: "Mike is an outstanding addition to the Board.
"He brings with him a wealth of experience in marketing and e-commerce from both within the travel industry and from other sectors. His skills span both online and offline marketing and he has an excellent track record in building strong brands and delivering growth, experience that will be a real asset to ABTA."
Hoban joined Thomas Cook in 2012 with responsibility for defining and implementing Thomas Cook’s multi-channel marketing strategy.
Previously, he held senior marketing roles at a number of organisations including confused.com, Directgov and Scottish Widows.
