Thomas Cook mulls over peak booking ad campaign

Saturday, 19 Sep, 2014 0

Thomas Cook has yet to decide if and when to launch a TV ad campaign to promote its summer 2015 programme, claimed new UK managing director Salman Syed.

Rival Thomson has launched its new summer 2015 advertising campaign several months early, with its first ads due to appear on cinema screens today and on TV tomorrow during X-Factor.

However, Syed said details of Thomas Cook’s advertising strategy for summer 2015 were still being finalised and he said it had not yet been decided if the operator would run television adverts over the peak post-Christmas period.

He said its summer 2015 campaign would continue along the lines of its ’emotionally-led’ multichannel  ‘We Love New Experiences’ campaign, launched for winter 2014.

For this winter, Thomas Cook has added La Gomera in the Canaries and it will also offer holidays to Morocco for the first time during winter. It will also continue offering Cape Verde, which was introduced last February.
