Thomas Cook to open family-friendly Casa Cook in Crete
Thomas Cook will open its third Casa Cook hotel in Crete in September.
Built from scratch, the 45-room five-star village-style hotel is on a hillside overlooking the beach on the outskirts of the historic harbour city of Chania.
It will be the first in the brand aimed at families and has a bespoke kids’ club concept.
The kids’ club will offer cooking classes, painting workshops and sleepovers in a teepee and was designed with help from individuals in children’s education, family travel, and a group of 25 children.
The hotel has seven different room types with each room accommodating a minimum of two adults and one child, with larger suites and interconnected rooms available for bigger families or groups of friends.
All rooms have retractable glass walls opening on to a private terrace or pool. Pools are either shared or private.
A poolside restaurant and bar draws on a ‘tropical beach club vibe’ with an all-day open kitchen offering local cuisine.
A central pavilion will offer group and private yoga classes, as well as training equipment for individual workouts with personal trainers on hand. Massages will be provided in a nomad-style tent.
The opening follows the successful opening of Casa Cook Rhodes in 2016 and Casa Cook Kos last summer.
Seven nights in Crete costs from £1,184 per person on a bed and breakfast basis, including flights from London Luton on easyJet departing September 1 2018.
The price is based on two adults sharing a superior double room and includes airport transfers.
