Thomson postpones flights to Cancun
Thomson flights to and from Cancun airport have been postponed for 24 hours today due to Hurricane Rina.
Due to strong winds resulting from the hurricane off the coast of Mexico, the airline has decided not to fly in or out of the airport today.
A travel alert on its website said: “Customer safety and wellbeing is the main priority for Thomson and First Choice and we will continue closely monitoring events and weather conditions in the Yucatan Peninsula area and act accordingly.
“Customers planning to travel from the UK to Cancun in the next few days are advised to check the website for the latest information.”
