Thomson sponsors Channel 4’s First Dates
Thomson, has signed a unique advertising deal with Channel 4’s matchmaking show ‘First Dates’, starting this evening.
The deal includes sponsorship across all 2016 episodes, a new shorts series to be released on All 4 later this year, and a programme licence, which allows cross-promotional editorial opportunities with Thomson customers.
The sponsorship is designed to promote couples and adults-only holidays to Thomson Sensimar hotels and resorts.
Each ident features a couple enjoying a romantic break at a resort, with the tagline ‘Who knows where the first date will lead? Sensimar, couples hotels by Thomson sponsors First Dates’.
The First Dates programme, which attracts around 2 million viewers each week, shows the experience of singletons as they go on a blind date, set in the First Dates restaurant.
Jeremy Ellis, marketing director at TUI UK, said: "With its strong focus on romantic breaks for couples, Sensimar is the perfect brand fit for First Dates."
