Hyatt Regency Adelaide has taken out a hat trick, being named South Australia’s “Best Meetings Venue – 150 to 500 delegates” for the third consecutive year at the 2006 South Australian Meetings and Industry Awards in Adelaide last week, with Hyatt Regency Adelaide’s latest award adding to an already impressive string of accolades received by the hotel since opening.

Hyatt Regency Adelaide’s Director of Marketing, Sonia Lefevre said the team was delighted with the award win, adding “At Hyatt Regency Adelaide, we pride ourselves on offering a range of innovative meeting and events solutions and this latest award reflects our commitment to the MICE industry and in particular, our commitment to helping build and further consolidate South Australia’s reputation as a popular meetings and events destination”.

Whilst five-star facilities and access to the latest technology are certainly key drawcards for visiting delegates, the flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude of Hyatt Regency Adelaide staff is certainly another of the property’s convention advantages.

Sonia dded, “Our staff work tirelessly to give each and every event that professional touch and awards like this provide lovely recognition for all their hard work and dedication”.

Located at the heart of Adelaide’s CBD, Hyatt Regency Adelaide has been involved in the meetings industry since 1988 and over the years the hotel has played host to some of Australia’s largest meetings and conventions with 2007 already shaping up to be a fantastic year for the hotel, with a 20% increase in MICE business on the books compared to the same time last year.

The outlook going forward is also positive with a large number of national and international meetings and events secured for the remainder of the year including the World Police & Fire Games in March and Tasting Australia in October.
