Wednesday, 06 Aug, 2008 0

Tiger has announce plans to fly twice a day between Melbourne and Perth from 1 November 2008, with flights on sale from today with 2,000 tickets from $99.95 including taxes and charges.

Tiger will be increasing its Melbourne to Perth flights in stages.

On 2 October 2008 Tiger commence 3 flights a week in addition to the daily service it has been operating since last year.

On 1 November 2008 the airline will move to 2 flights a day in time for Christmas.

Shelley Roberts, Managing Director of Tiger Airways Australia said, “Since Tiger Airways started flying to Perth, we have seen the route warmly embraced by Australians wanting the real deal when it comes to flying.  Before Tiger Airways came along, it was cheaper for travellers to go overseas than to get around their own country.

It was a disgraceful situation but Tiger Airways’ low fare revolution has changed that.”

In celebration of the doubling of Melbourne to Perth flights 2000 tickets are on sale for today for a low low A$99.95  The A$99.95 fares include all taxes and charges and 7 kg of carry on baggage for travel between 1 October 2008 to 30 November 2008 and 1 February 2009 – 28 March 2009.  To hunt down one of these fantastic fares go to www.tigerairways.com
