Tigerair offers upfront fee for flight changes

Budget carrier Tigerair has launched a new product offering an affordable option for customers seeking a last minute flight change.

Called ‘MoveMe,’ it allows passengers arriving either early or running late to transfer onto another flight on the same route without incurring the usual change fees.

At cost of $12 one way at the time of booking or at least 72 hours prior to departure, customers can opt for an earlier flight or change on to the next available service if late for check-in.

MoveMe customers have until 15 minutes after their original departure time to change their flight without any additional fee.

"MoveMe will help take the stress out of flying for those who may need to change their plans and offers peace of mind for those who may occasionally run late," said Tigerair Australia Commercial Director Adam Rowe.

"Essentially, MoveMe is a low cost version of a ‘flexi fare’ for same day travel on selected routes where we have the most frequency and will likely be popular with passengers who are unsure about which flight they want to take on the day and passengers who have booked in advance and need to change their plans."

"MoveMe is designed to make it easier, more convenient and seamless to fly Tigerair than ever before."
