Tigerair passengers can pay for flights with Velocity frequent flyer points

Tuesday, 08 Apr, 2016 0
Virgin Australia’s Velocity frequent flyer members can now use points for part or full payment for flights across Tigerair Australia’s route network.

With a minimum spend of 3,100 points, Velocity members can redeem points to book flights, add-on services and taxes.

"We are very excited to be partnering with Velocity Frequent Flyer, and to offer this new opportunity for Velocity members to use their Velocity Points to travel on our network. Tigerair Australia now flies to 12 destinations, providing a great redemption opportunity for Velocity members," said Tigerair Australia commercial director Adam Rowe.

"Tigerair Australia continues to grow in line with consumer demand and today’s announcement is further evidence of this."

Members simply select flights on the Tigerair website, log in to the member account and select the number of points they wish to use for payment.

From 13 April 2016 Velocity members will then be able to use points for flight changes or ancillary products after the original booking has been made through the online ‘Manage My Booking’ function.
