Tips for capturing the Chinese traveller

Friday, 11 Apr, 2012 0

China now has over 500 million Internet users.

Sina Weibo, the popular microblog, has more than 300 million users.

Online travel in China is growing three times as fast as the total market and taking market share at a faster rate than in the West.

In 2012, close to 25% of travel will be booked online in China, up from just 5% five years ago.

This year, 80 million Chinese will travel abroad, increasing to 100 million by 2015.

Roy Graff, MD of ChinaContact, and a 16-year veteran of China’s travel industry with hands-on experience of building travel distribution platforms in China, will be advising on ways to capture the Interney-savvy Chinese traveller at EyeforTravel workshops in London and Singapore.

Topics covered:

– The Chinese digital landscape for travel

– The differences between social media in China and the West

– Distribution channels in China – what are they and how to connect to them?

– Tips for building your brand through digital marketing in China

The workshops will be run in the following forums:

April 18: Travel Distribution Summit Europe – London

May 10: Travel Distribution Summit Asia – Singapore
