TIPTO smashes fundraising target for Reuben’s Retreat
TIPTO has smashed its previous fundraising record for charity partner, Reuben’s Retreat, raising £3,170 over the course of Year 20.
The funds were raised at 35 roadshows, ‘SuperShow’ and training events nationwide, beating the previous year’s total of £2,900.
Reuben’s Retreat will continue as TIPTO’s charity partner in Year 21, which will mean it has been funding raising for the reatreat. for more than six years.
The money raised in Y20 will go towards supporting families of children with life limiting or life threatening illnesses with counselling, well-being therapies and respite or bereavement breaks.
The charity has already helped 762 individuals enjoy a respite break and fundraising efforts also go towards completing the planned 10-phase programme of development.
Nicola Graham, Reuben’s Retreat founder said: "We can’t thank the TIPTO team, its suppliers and all of the agents that attend the events enough for this kind donation.
"Fundraising efforts year on year never cease to amaze us and we’re incredibly humbled by the association’s continued support. The amount donated this year means so much to our beneficiaries and equates to at least 12 family breaks. It truly is amazing!"
TIPTO chairman Nick Hughes said: "What a fantastic amount to have raised in our celebratory year – a huge thank to all suppliers and our agent friends for helping us to smash last year’s target for Reuben’s Retreat.
"Agents play an integral role in the fundraising process by buying raffle tickets for the Charity Prize Draw held at each of our events. And suppliers always give generously with inspiring prizes. Here’s to Year 21 and bettering this total once again."
