TMI announces hot topic for annual conference
Following the publication of the Government’s new tourism policy in March, the Tourism Management Institute (TMI) is holding its annual ‘Hot Topic’ conference in Sheffield on May 17, with the theme ‘Shaping Destinations for the Future’.
It will include presentations from rural, city and coastal destinations across England and Wales, covering funding and governance, examples of partnership working, future plans and top tips. There will also be national perspectives from the Tourism Alliance and VisitEngland.
TMI hopes the conference, to be held at Sheffield Hallam University, will appeal to the growing number of people involved in destination management, town centre managers, planners, event organisers, arts and cultural representatives, consultants, lecturers and students in addition to its own members.
