Australia-based International travel and hospitality management specialist TMS Asia-Pacific (TMS) has acquired Auckland-based Travel Personnel Limited New Zealand.
Announcing the move from the company’s Sydney headquarters, TMS Chief Executive Officer Gary Marshall said he was delighted with the acquisition which he said spelled a new era for travel personnel and quality recruitment practices in New Zealand.
“Both parties feel this move is a great fit – the philosophy of Travel Personnel Limited New Zealand and TMS are so close as to be indistinguishable – and quality recruitment practices are a hallmark of both companies.
“The new TMS office in Auckland will make it easier to service clients in New Zealand and also open a portal for those wishing to take advantage of TMS’s wide reach throughout the Asia-Pacific region,” he said.
Mr Marshall said the move would not initially impact on the company’s current staff levels.
“Staff levels will stay the same for the time being but our intention is to increase staff numbers in the near future.
”There will be some minor changes, mainly operational, but these should have little or no impact on current clients,” he said.
Mr Marshall said the Travel Personnel Limited New Zealand acquisition had been predicated by the need for greater TMS exposure in the New Zealand market.
“We are confident this new combination will allow for some good expansion into New Zealand,” he said.
