TMS flies industry flag

TMS Asia-Pacific (TMS) will unofficially ‘represent’ the travel and hospitality industry later this month as a finalist at the 2007 SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards (SARA).

The recruitment and executive search specialist is the only industry organisation to have earned a finals spot this year, gaining a nomination in the prestigious ‘Most Popular Specialist Recruiter – Medium/Small’ category.

This category is open to any recruitment agency with up to 50 consultants whose core business is dedicated to a specialist industry.

TMS’ newly-appointed General Manager Australia & New Zealand, Ainslie Hunt said the nomination represented a huge pat on the back for the entire TMS team.

“Obviously we are all extremely proud to have been nominated for this award and to be able to represent our industry on the night,” she said.

“We would of course be delighted to win the award but just to have made the finals represents a great achievement for TMS when you consider the huge number of recruitment companies in the Australian market these days.

“We’d really like to thank our clients and the candidates who voted for us this year.”

Established in 2002, the SARA’s recognise the efforts of Australia’s most popular recruitment agencies.

The awards are unique in that finalists are voted for by actual candidates.

The winners of this year’s awards will be announced at an official function to be held in Sydney on Wednesday, 17 October 2007.
