Toddler falls from window of Blackpool hotel
A toddler is in a serious condition in hospital after falling from the second floor of a Blackpool hotel.
Lancashire police say they were called by the ambulance service to the Manor Royd hotel on Albert Road shortly before 9am on Tuesday. It is believed the hotel is now called the Rooms Inn Blackpool.
The child, a girl aged two-and-a-half, was taken by air ambulance to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool suffering from a number of fractures and is in a serious condition.
Police said enquiries are underway.
The owner of the Rooms Inn told reporters the child was part of a family of four who was staying at the 32-room hotel
Reports said the alarm was raised by the owners of a neighbouring hotel.
