Top-secret airport document left on train
A target list of influential people who are against expansion of Heathrow has been found on a train.
The Sunday Times reports the top-secret document lists over 100 ‘gold’ as well as ‘silver’ and ‘bronze’ names to approach in a bid to persuade them to go public in favour of a second runway at Gatwick as an alternative to expansion at Heathrow.
The document also aims to "neutralise the prevailing default bias that we perceive exists in favour of Heathrow".
It also claims the amount of people affected by noise at an expanded Heathrow would be more than suggested by supporters of the third runway option at Britain’s busiest airport.
