Tornado leaves trail of devastation in US
Parts of the US Midwest are in a state of emergency after a tornado ripped through five states Missouri, killing 12 people and injuring dozens more.
At least 6 were killed in Harrisburg, Illinois and there were other deaths near Buffalo in Missouri, said the BBC.
The twister also passed through Kansas, Indiana, Nebraska and Kentucky, according to the National Weather Service. There were tornado watches issued for parts of Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Ohio.
Rescue workers are still searching through wrecked homes looking for people who might be trapped.
