Tour group shortens trips to meet American taste

Insight Vacations introduced its 2006 USA and Canada touring program that features more than a dozen North American escorted vacations.

“Much of the program is new with a number of old escorted favorites carefully revamped to ensure the highest quality holidays,” according to a press release.

Many existing tours were too long for American travelers, said Marc Kazlauskas.

“With feedback from travel agents, including some of our top accounts, we decided to develop itineraries that would better suit the American market,” he said.

Originally, the North American program was positioned as part of Insight’s SuperSaver product line. In 2005, however, it was enhanced and repositioned as a premium standard product.

Coaches offer more comfort and legroom, according to Mr Kazlauskas.

New tours include a 7-day “Enchanting Canyonlands” trip that visits the US west coast national parks, and an 8-day “New England’s Spectacular Fall Foilage” tour in September and October.

Insight’s US and Canada vacations which begin operating this spring start as low as $175 a person per day.
