Tour operator names Zenner new president
Brendan Vacations named Nico Zenner its new president, citing his “broad sales and marketing experience and a deep understanding of the US marketplace developed over 16 years.”
Richard Launder, president of The Travel Corporation USA, said the appointment was effective on June 1. Zenner takes over from Don Cooper, who since October of last year has been in a transition role. Cooper will return to Australia.
“He is a tremendous asset to the company, and will clearly complement all that Brendan has already achieved in industry excellence,” said Launder.
Launder said Zenner is widely recognized as a leader in the US travel industry. Zenner was recently president of Travel Bound and GTA North American Wholesale. He has also held executive level positions at Rail Europe Group, the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Sabena Airlines.
He is an active member of the American Tourism Society, the United States Tour Operators Association, the Association of Travel Marketing Executives, the German National Tourist Office Advisory Board and Skal.
Brendan Vacations is a US tour operator offering a broad selection of escorted, independent and group travel options. Established in 1969, its portfolio now includes over 800 packages and 10,000 hotels in Ireland, the UK, Europe, Egypt, Asia, the South Pacific, Mexico, Central and South America.
