Tourico Holidays adds car rental partners
Wholesale travel broker Tourico Holidays has sealed new car rental supplier partnerships.
It announced deals with Advantage Rent A Car, the fourth largest rental business in the US, and E-Z Rent-A-Car.
The partnerships significantly expand its rental car inventory at 85 locations around the US, including 22 of the top 25 busiest airports.
There has been a year-over-year increase in overall car rental bookings of 72%, Tourico says, and car rental revenue is up 53%.
"After a very strong first half of 2017, adding Advantage and E-Z Rent-A-Car allows us to build on the momentum, while offering our clients new low-cost, high-quality options," said Konni Marshall, director of business development for car rentals at Tourico Holidays.
Tourico also unveiled added car rental functionality for trade partners allowing them to book vehicles with an airport pick up and city drop off or vice versa.
"Tourico is best known for its massive impact on the global hotel industry, but our well-established distribution network and continuously growing inventory of car rental partners puts us in a unique position to become leading players in the car rental sector, as well," Marshall added.
