Tourico Holidays updates cruise booking tool

Monday, 31 Mar, 2016 0
Wholesale travel broker Tourico Holidays has enhanced its cruise API, offering wider integration with a host of other travel agent applications.

"Our clients have told us that there was a real need for a cruise API that enabled them to utilize live cruise inventory across a variety of sales channels. We listened, and we’ve innovated a new API to ensure that our clients’ customers can search and book a cruise using any platform, with results that are quick and convenient," said Lori Sheller, vice president of cruise development at Tourico Holidays

"Several companies have already piloted our new cruise API with great results, and a number of others are in the process of integrating right now. Even with a huge cruise database, our technology still returns results in less than one second."

Agents selling hotels via the Tourico API can now easily bundle cruise and hotel products on the same point of reconciliation.

Tourico offers access to the products of 15 cruise lines, comprising more than 10,000 cruise departures and says it will add Viking Ocean Cruises to the platform soon.

Tourico’s said gross profits from cruise reservations in February 2016 are up 63% compared to a year ago and expects continued growth throughout the year,
