Tourism Malaysia scores Luis Suarez partnership
Tourism Malaysia has signed a partnership with FC Barcelona hotshot Luis Suarez to help promote travel to the country.
Tourism Malaysia sealed a one-year deal with Suarez’ Asia agency Mediapro to leverage the striker’s worldwide appeal.
"As a hero to millennials, Suarez is an inspiration to many and we hope that this title and acknowledgement will shine the limelight on Malaysia as a tropical holiday destination," said tourism and culture minister Mohamed Nazri Aziz.
It follows a branding partnership that Tourism Malaysia signed with the Spanish LaLiga to make Malaysia its official tourist destination in Asia.
"I am incredibly thrilled and looking forward to embark on this journey to introduce this exotic country to the world, especially its rich culture and heritage to all my fans and make them fans of Malaysia," the striker said in a release.
