Trafalgar Definite Departures outpaces other operators

Trafalgar’s “Definite Departures” for 2011 guided vacations have topped 4000, more than any of their competitors, according to the tour company.

“Definite Departures” are tours that have surpassed minimum booking numbers, confirming operation. Trafalgar’s Definite Departures are identified on their website with a green check on the “Availability and Pricing” itinerary pages.

Trafalgar has 3700 such tours in Europe alone.

“Highlights on selected tours include Trafalgar’s exclusive ‘Be My Guest’ authentic local dining experiences, Local Specialties, Wine Tastings and the insider’s Hidden Treasures,” the company says in a press release. The later includes surprise off the beaten path such as a chat with farmers making buttermilk before dinner in an Irish farmhouse.

Tours include an eight-day mix of cities and natural landscapes in Northern California, which will include wine tastings in the Napa Valley and famous landmarks of San Francisco. Prices start at US$1675, land only, based on double occupancy.
