Travel agents experience very different destination
Tiny groups of curious travel agents from New York, Florida and Boston checked out the undiscovered, unspoiled Romagna in the heart of Italy.
This autumn small groups of curious travel agents were spotted in Romagna. They had come to see if the area was as good as they had been told it was.
Was it the ‘Land of Milk and Honey’ that they had been led to expect? Was it possible that there was a destination that was immune to advertiser’s adjectives because it was so authentic? Was it possible that in the heart of Italy a wonderfully historic land was unspoiled by tourism? Could it be as uncrowded and as safe as they had been told? Would they be welcome? Would there be good food and wine and all ‘Mod Cons’?
Above all would a combination of natural, local seasonal food, delicious historic local wines, heartbreakingly beautiful sights and heart-warming hospitality restore their faith in humanity and their bodies to harmony?
These and many other questions were in the agents’ minds as they arrived in Romagna.
They tasted the superb food and wine.
They tested the generous hospitality
They inspected the accommodation
They explored the tourism experiences
They probed the 2000 years of glorious colourful history
Their verdict? Sensational, unbelievable, this is tourism as it really ought to be, we can’t wait to tell our clients about this.
You could come to check it all out too – next year’s FAM programme has been unveiled.
