Travel agents raided by armed robbers
Thomson travel agents have been robbed at knifepoint by masked raiders.
Police were called to the shop on Lord Street, Liverpool yesterday morning following reports that masked men had tank a “substantial amount” of money, said the BBC.
They said two men, one armed with a knife, tied up three agency staff and took cash from a safe before leaving the scene in a getaway car driven by a third man.
Staff were reported to be uninjured but distressed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
One of the robbers was described as wearing a high-visibility jacket, grey combat trousers, and the other was described as wearing black clothing.
Officers believe they fled in a silver Subaru Impreza, driven by a third man, who was wearing a sleeveless fluorescent top.
