Travel companies invited to register for prestigious award
Nominees of the British Travel Awards have until August 22 to register for entrance to the Feefo British Travel Award for Excellence in Customer Service.
The award uses genuine customer ratings from the Feefo global feedback engine to identify which companies are worthy of the accolade.
BTA chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: "This is a great opportunity for travel companies to get relevant feedback from their customers and to find out exactly what they think of their customer service levels via the Feefo platform and the nationally recognised benchmark for excellence – The British Travel Awards."
Feefo CEO Andrew Mabbutt said: "Feefo is excited to be central in determining the travel companies most deserving of the Excellence in Customer Service Award.
"This award uniquely rewards entrants that deliver customer satisfaction, as perceived by those that make and break companies – the customers themselves.
"Using Feefo as a platform for engagement will contribute towards success in the competition but more than this, the entrants will get valuable insights in to what drives customer satisfaction."
Nominees entered in at least one of the BTA sectors are automatically eligible to enter this award, where one winner will be identified in the ‘large company’ category and one winner in the ‘small and medium company’ category.
The category size criteria will follow the same format as used when registering for the BTA awards; therefore The Excellence in Customer Service Award for Large Holiday Companies will be open to tour operators carrying more than 80,000 passengers per year and Villa/Self Catering Booking Companies catering for more than 2,000 rental units.
For Small/Medium Holiday Companies the Award will be open to tour operators carrying up to 80,000 passengers per year and to Medium Villa/Self Catering Booking Companies handling up to 2,000 rental units.
Travelzoo was the first winner of the award in 2013.
To register for entry, companies should contact Meriel Callingham on 0203 362 4209, or email [email protected].
