Travel Corporation brands update cancellation policies
Several of The Travel Corporation’s brands have updated their cancellation policies and shared details of the suspension of various cruises and land tours.
In a message to travel partners, the company announced Uniworld will suspend their trips on all European rivers until April 26, 2020 while Nile cruises will be suspended a little longer through the end of April.
Due to travel restrictions in the respective countries and territories around the world, all guided trips with Trafalgar, Costsaver, Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, Busabout and Contiki are postponed until April 30, 2020.
"We will continuously monitor all government communications and assess the situation everywhere, every day, and adjust existing decisions and policies as needed, and as quickly as possible, as the circumstances change," said Teresa Richardson, managing director, The Travel Corporation.
"Knowing that the situation is fluid and can change from one day to the next we have taken the decision to place all information relating to our cancellation policies on our various brand websites."
Customers with Uniworld cruises booked for travel during the suspension period may rebook for any travel 2020 or 2021 cruise or receive a future cruise credit to be used within two years.
Trafalgar customers can change their travel dates or destination to any trip in 2020 or 2021 without penalty on the land portion of their trip.
Meanwhile, Contiki said it is reaching out to affected travellers personally to help them rebook, free of charge on to a new trip in any destination.
