Travel Counsellors extends Galileo deal
Home working agency Travel Counsellors is to improve its tailor-made travel options through a new deal with Galileo.
The extended agreement includes content to be provided by Galileo sister operator Gullivers Travel Associates (GTA) while accommodation and transfers will be made available through the agency’s Phenix in-house dynamic packaging system.
Travel Counsellors managing director Steve Byrne said: “Phenix already accounts for almost a quarter (22%) of all our bookings. This latest development with Galileo forms part of our strategy of continually updating and imporving the system and making it even more content-rich for our Counsellors enabling them to tailor make the best possible travel options.”
The new contract provides Travel Counsellors with value-added services: ClickPoint, new point and click technology enabling a faster booking process; E-Tracker, used to track unused e-tickets; Galileo Interactive Data Source, providing enhanced reporting using live data; and Galileo Web Services, a system that powers published and private rates into the Phenix system.
Travel Counsellors, which has more than 640 home working agents, plans further overseas expansion following moves into Ireland and Holland.
