Travel Counsellors unveils six-figure tech investment
Travel Counsellors has confirmed a £600,000 investment in its all-new ‘Recommendation Engine’.
Unveiled at its 25th anniversary conference in Manchester, the group said the first version of the engine would be launched in the spring.
It is designed to help agents simplify their hotel search and rate hotels based on key variables such as quality, price and environmental sustainability.
Nearly 2,000 Travel Counsellors, supplier partners and support teams from across the globe attended the conference, with guest appearances from Gary Barlow, Paloma Faith, Dara O’Briain and Bear Grylls OBE.
Among other initiatives, chief technology officer Rob Snelson revealed~plans to streamline~the MyTC customer app and~the~launch of pre-made itineraries to its booking platform, Phenix Itineraries.
