Travel focus for social media conference

The UK’s first dedicated social media in travel conference is to be held in June.
The Social Media Academy is running the event on June 30 in London.
The day will address the opportunities and challenges presented by the rise of social media.
The agenda includes case studies on how to integrate social media into travel marketing and PR, tips and tricks for effectively engaging all forms of social media, how to guard and protect your brand online and guidance on how to measure and evaluate social media activity.
Speakers include David Parfect, agency group head at Facebook; Simon Dance, UK SEO manager, cheapflights.co.uk; Mary Walsh, corporate communications director at Eurostar; Eva Keogan, social media strategist at lastminute.com; Jane Nicholson, account director, Hills Balfour; and Carmen Tse Selvig, international marketing manager for Innovation Norway.
The conference is being held at One Mayfair in London.
