Travel Leaders Group reaches settlement in sexual harassment lawsuit
Travel Leaders Group has settled a lawsuit with a former executive alleging sexual harassment and discrimination.
A trial date had been set for March 18, 2019, which TLG vowed to ‘vigorously’ fight the allegations made against president John Lovell, who was accused of sexual misconduct by former vice president Mabelle Meyaart.
The company has now apparently settled out of court to avoid more damaging headlines.
Meyaart worked at Travel Leaders Group from 2012 until July 2017 and accused Lovell of harassment and lewd comments, and wrongful dismissal.
CEO Ninan Chacko was also named as a defendant.
"The parties resolved all of the claims brought by former TLG employee Mabelle "Mai" Meyaart. The pending case was dismissed without any finding of wrongdoing by Travel Leaders Group or its employees. The parties have no further comment," the company said in a statement.
